Medals and awards recognising meritorious service, long service, and acts of bravery within the Botswana Police Service.
B.P.M.
Awarded to members of the organisation for service of meritorious nature. A candidate for award of this medal must have served 12 years in the Service and must have set a high example by his/her conduct and diligence.
D.S.O.
Awarded to members of the Botswana Police Service who have distinguished themselves by their devotion to duty. It is attained after serving for a period of 30 years.
J.S.M.
Awarded to members of the Botswana Police Service who have served for at least 25 years in the organisation and have shown by their conduct and character that they are worthy of the honour.
L.S.G.C.M.
Awarded for long service and good conduct in the Botswana Police Service. A candidate of this award must have served as a member of the Botswana Police Service for a continuous period of 18 years and by conduct and character shown worthiness for such award.
Bravery
Awarded to members of the organisation who have, in the course of service, exhibited conspicuous bravery.
